What is Leaders of Tomorrow International Student Network?
Leaders of Tomorrow ISN is an organization dedicated to creating an environment where students and business professionals discover their potential and develop the skills necessary to achieve it. Our organization strives to cultivate a community of leaders who are looking forward to becoming our planet's future "Changemakers". At the core Leaders of Tomorrow ISN serves as an intermediary between an internationally connected network of students and leaders of industry that are looking forward to a bright future where we can work together to find feasible solutions to some of our planets largest problems. Our goal is to provide our student members with networking and mentorship support, so that they can begin to build important relationships early in their career, while also providing all of our members with the tools and skills necessary to pursue their dreams and reach their full potential. First we teach the vision, then we teach the skills, and finally we provide the opportunities for social progress.
How Do We Accomplish This?
We have created a comprehensive three-stage approach intended to fill in the gaps that result from standardized education. The first stage is our Young Dreamers United program, which targets middle school students. This Non-Profit Business Licence is designed to help middle school students discover themselves and lay the foundation for success in wherever their dreams may lead them. We accomplish this through a series of thought provoking lessons and activities designed and administered by our college level members. The college students fill a much needed mentor role in the lives of these middle school students and provide the encouragement and support necessary for them to succeed. The lessons taught have the intention of helping middle school students discover themselves while encouraging them to embrace their own unique gifts and talents in pursuit of their dreams. We also use these activities to address many issues that have developed as a result of the remanences of a segregated society. We tackle tough issues like race, religion, gender roles, bullying, and socioeconomic status and present them in such a way that these middle school students understand them as well as provide solutions that the middle school students can implement right now to help combat them.
The second stage is the Leaders of Tomorrow Empowerment Center and targets the college level. This Non-Profit Business License assists students in running a Leaders of Tomorrow campus organization efficiently and effectively while instilling leadership principles in their peers. At this stage we also offer many opportunities for college students to get involved in the community and put into practice the skills and principles taught within the Leaders of Tomorrow Student Run Groups. One of the many avenues that we encourage our Leaders of Tomorrow college students to participate in is our Mentorship Program. Student's are paired with alumni from an intercollegiate mentorship program and tasked with developing a vision which includes a mission statement and a list of short term goals. The students and the mentors then develop a strategy to accomplish those goals. Young Dreamers United Is also designed to involve our college students in a mentor role with the middle school students in the surrounding local area. Their involvement allows them to put into practice the skills and principals we teach and use them to make a meaningful impact on the lives of younger generations.
The third stage is the Leaders of Tomorrow ISN Convention Committee and it targets the business community. The convention committee is primarily responsible for hosting and promoting regional, national, and international leadership conventions. These conventions will consist of a multiday experience where students and business professionals can come together and learn the skills and principles that have been practiced by the greatest leaders of history. These grate leaders include people like Andrew Carnegie, Steve Jobs, Martin Luther King Jr., And Gandhi. The experience will begin with a key note speaker directed at the entire audience. Attendees will then be given the opportunity to split up and participate in a number of skill building workshops and applied case studies of their choosing, so that they may develop the skills which they desire. On day two, attendees will be given the opportunity to participate in a number of networking events and activities focused on various aspects of industry. The convention will conclude with a final key note speaker and an awards ceremony. The convention committee will also be responsible for supporting local empowerment centers with the creation and promotion of their own individual workshops and networking events as well as local Leadership Awards Banquets.
Leaders of Tomorrow ISN is a benefit corporation who's primary beneficiaries are the Young Dreamers United and Leaders of Tomorrow Empowerment Center Non-Profit Licence Holders that drive its membership. Leaders of Tomorrow ISN generates revenues through subscription based membership fees for the use of its social networking site with integrated curriculum content & mentorship software, as well as generating revenues from tickets to attend regional, national, and international leadership conventions.
